1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using ReadIntel ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not access the Service.

2. Description of Service

ReadIntel is an AI-powered news aggregation and analysis platform that provides personalized news summaries, research tools, and content analysis. The Service includes:

  • Automated news aggregation from multiple sources
  • AI-generated summaries and analysis
  • Text-to-speech audio narration
  • Personalized content recommendations
  • Research and note-taking tools

3. User Accounts

3.1 Registration

You must register for an account to access certain features of the Service. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to update such information to keep it accurate, current, and complete.

3.2 Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

3.3 Account Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your account at any time for violations of these Terms or for any other reason at our sole discretion.

4. Subscription Plans and Billing

4.1 Paid Subscriptions

ReadIntel offers multiple subscription tiers (Essential, Pro, Premium) with different features and usage limits. Subscription fees are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis.

4.2 Free Trials

We may offer free trials for new users. If you do not cancel before the trial period ends, you will be automatically charged for the subscription.

4.3 Payment Processing

All payments are processed securely through Stripe. By providing payment information, you authorize us to charge the applicable fees to your payment method.

4.4 Refund Policy

Subscription fees are generally non-refundable. However, we may provide refunds on a case-by-case basis at our sole discretion. Contact support@readintel.com to request a refund.

4.5 Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Cancellation will take effect at the end of your current billing period. You will retain access to paid features until that time.

4.6 Price Changes

We reserve the right to change subscription prices with 30 days' notice. Price changes will not affect your current billing cycle but will apply to subsequent renewals.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

  • Use the Service for any illegal purpose or in violation of any laws
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
  • Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access the Service
  • Resell or redistribute the Service without authorization
  • Reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code
  • Remove or alter any copyright, trademark, or proprietary notices
  • Use the Service to send spam or unsolicited communications
  • Impersonate any person or entity
  • Share your account credentials with others

6. Intellectual Property

6.1 Service Content

The Service and its original content (excluding news articles from third-party sources), features, and functionality are owned by ReadIntel and are protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws.

6.2 Third-Party Content

News articles, images, and other content from third-party sources remain the property of their respective owners. ReadIntel does not claim ownership of such content.

6.3 User Content

You retain ownership of any notes, annotations, or other content you create using the Service. By using the Service, you grant us a license to use, store, and display your content as necessary to provide the Service.

7. AI-Generated Content

Our Service uses artificial intelligence to generate summaries and analysis. While we strive for accuracy:

  • AI-generated content may contain errors or inaccuracies
  • Summaries are intended as overviews, not complete representations
  • You should verify important information from original sources
  • AI-generated content should not be relied upon for critical decisions

8. Disclaimers and Limitations of Liability

8.1 Service Availability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free.

8.2 Content Accuracy

We do not warrant the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any content provided through the Service. You rely on such content at your own risk.

8.3 Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ReadIntel shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from:

  • Your use or inability to use the Service
  • Any unauthorized access to or use of our servers
  • Any bugs, viruses, or malicious code transmitted through the Service
  • Any errors or omissions in any content
  • Any conduct or content of third parties on the Service

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless ReadIntel and its officers, directors, employees, contractors, agents, licensors, and suppliers from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, judgments, awards, losses, costs, expenses, or fees (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or relating to your violation of these Terms or your use of the Service.

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand our practices regarding your personal information.

11. Third-Party Services

The Service may contain links to third-party websites or services that are not owned or controlled by ReadIntel. We have no control over, and assume no responsibility for, the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party websites or services.

12. Modifications to Service

We reserve the right to modify or discontinue, temporarily or permanently, the Service (or any part thereof) with or without notice. We shall not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuance of the Service.

13. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or through a notice on the Service. Your continued use of the Service after such modifications constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

14. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

14.1 Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

14.2 Dispute Resolution

Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association.

14.3 Class Action Waiver

You agree that any dispute resolution proceedings will be conducted only on an individual basis and not in a class, consolidated, or representative action.

15. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable by a court, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

16. Entire Agreement

These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and ReadIntel regarding your use of the Service and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.
